Have been giving home tuition since 2022. Have volunteered at WeLL Centre and Jalan Kukoh RC as well from 2023 to 2024. Home tuition, at P6 level, I’ve taught Maths both foundation and standard. Had students from Frontier, Pei Tong, West Grove. Taught P5 student from GES when volunteering at WeLL Centre as well. Students generally have at least 1/2 grade improvement depending on where and when they start. Student 1 - P5 Math: AL5 - AL3 Student 2 - P6 English: AL7 - AL6 Student 3 - P6 Math: AL3 - AL2 Student 4 - P6 Math(F), Eng, Science In addition, I also organise a volunteering project which recruits NUS students to provide academic coaching and mentoring to underprivileged students. I also provide tutoring to these students (P1-S4) on an ad hoc basis for Math/Science/English.

From 2018 to 2020 I have been tutoring over 10 kids ranging from the age of 7 to 14 years old both in Singapore and Australia. I have tutored these kids in the English language as it is my strongest subject of understanding and command. All the kids I have tutored, have shown significant improvement in their command of the English language within 3 months of lessons. From Cs to Bs & As as their grades. Some developed a new love for the language and thus started picking up and developing skills such as reading, creative writing, debating and even literature analysis. I have tutored groups and individuals. In both scenarios my main tutoring methods have been similar, I first assess the level of competency of my students, and start developing a personalised flow of learning as I call it. After which I get the students to first understand the language, with understanding the students will easily be able to improve and develop their knowledge and usage of the language. I also provide homework/practices for the students to do at home or in their own time to improve their confidence in using the English language. Inclined understanding and confidence allows the student to freely explore the language without worrying about making mistake, and thus learn more are able to correct their mistakes themselves. The tutoring methods involves lots of reading, speaking, listening and writing. My students will always excel in the English language with their newfound love and understanding of the language.
