Although I do teach Chinese, Higher Chinese and Math, I specialise in teaching English and the majority of my students are for Primary/Secondary English. My students typically maintain their good grades if they are already faring well or improve an average of 1-3 grades. I believe in differentiating instruction for each individual student according to his/her needs, so that we can work on addressing the student's weaknesses to maximise his potential. I’ve taken part-time tutoring assignments for close to 2 years during my time in the military and while I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree. One of my Secondary 4 student, who was taking his “O” levels in 2018, just passed with a C6 during his final exams in 2017. He started with little interest in Accounting and didn’t understand basic concepts despite already studying it for a year. I helped him grasp the basic concepts in POA, and taught him to use these concepts to tackle tougher questions. He got a B3 in POA during “O” levels, which was a huge improvement, considering how competitive it was and the fact that he only had a year, and started with a weak foundations and little interest in POA.
