I have been playing the drums since 2000. I graduated from NAFA music in 2009. I don't just teach drum, I teach mallets too. All encompassing western percussionist. I only take in 2 students a year. I only take in students who has ambition to move on or grow their interest in school bands or orchestra. Basic drum skills is really dry. There's no melody or music. Hence, if the kid expect some marvellous show off of skills. There's nothing fanciful, unless they are already playing in school band or orchestra. I will also have to access on first few lessons if the student has the finances and support from family on his/her interest, before any further commitment.

i started tutoring after the end of my 'O' Levels. I started off teaching my juniors in the night study program to help them in their upcoming 'O' Levels. I went on to tutor my friend's siblings soon after. I found more through recommendations from students. I am currently tutoring 6 students mainly in the east side. All 6 showed significant improvement in their studies with one recently coming in top in his final year exam in mathematics. The others are doing very good in terms of their attitude towards learning as well as their results. I have been getting numerous recommendations through my current students but most stays too far from where i normally teach. I am looking to expand my number of students as i am awaiting graduation with a diploma in accountancy from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

On the other hand, I would always like and try my best to understand the character and the study behavior of my students. This is because I believe tutoring isn't just about material work but also about understanding the weaknesses and strengths of the students in their studies. This would then allow me to tackle the problem and work on it with the student.

I am someone who is very motivated and held consistently good results in both Raffles Institution (Secondary) and Raffles Institution (JC). Throughout my 6 years (total) in RI, I was involved in voluntary tuition (4 years) as well as mentoring my juniors (J1).

Upon graduating from RI (JC) in 2011, I assumed the role of a part-time tutor and had experience teaching both secondary and junior college students in subjects such as A math, E math, Physics and Chemistry. My teaching methodology places more emphasis on helping students to understand the most important concepts involved in different subjects so that they can tackle all questions with ease. Students under my tuition had mostly jumped at least two grade up.
