Learning Maths and English can be a daunting and challenging experience. You may often find yourself being asked by your teacher to think deeper, or even find yourself being introduced to new equations and concepts that will leave you confused. Have no worries, with my help and guidance, you will find yourself acing your test and exams in a breeze! About me: I am currently an undergraduate student at NUS, studying Law. Prior to this, I graduated with an IB Diploma from ACS (Independent), attaining perfect scores in HL Math, Chemistry and Physics. I first started providing tuition to supplement my income, but very quickly found that students were responsive to my teaching. 7 years later, and I am still providing tuition with the aim of helping students achieve their goals. My teaching style: I like to spend the first half of the lesson explaining difficult concepts and introducing students to new concepts. I then supplement the first half of the lesson by going through practice questions in the second half of the lesson. I believe that this method provides the student with the opportunity to lay a strong foundation so that they can build from there. Ultimately, I want my students to walk away from the class with all their doubts cleared, as well as a greater appreciation for what they are learning. After all, a happy student is a motivated student. My achievements: - Brought a Secondary 2 student from a B3 in Maths to an A1. - Brought a Secondary 4 student from failing Maths to an A2 for his GCE 'O' Levels. - Brought a Secondary 4 student from failing Science in his prelims to a B3 for his GCE 'N' Levels. - Brought a Secondary 4 student from failing English to an A1 for his GCE 'O' Levels.

I am relatively new though I have had only 3 months of experience teaching a Secondary 3 Express Student for Chinese Language. Her language standards and interest started picking up after a month, and we were able to find means to channel her strengths (oral) into ways to score for her weaknesses (composition and comprehension). Note: Due to schedule clashes from both parties, the tutoring was called off after a short period.

I have helped classmate to improve from a fail to an A for both E- and A-math in one semester in Sec 4 while in Nan Hua High School. I also have experience in tutoring primary school students for 2 months as well as secondary school students for 3 months. I was in Chinese Debate club and represented Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) in the inter-school debate competition and won the first place. I took Chinese Language and Literature as one of my H2 subjects in HCI and was in MOE Chinese Language Elective Program (CLEP). I am patient and is able to customize according to every student's needs so as to spark their interest in the subjects, making the subjects less daunting and boring.
