I am an 'A' Level Graduate from Pioneer Junior College and going to embark my studies at National University of Singapore, Faculty of Science (Applied Mathematics) in Aug 2013. Having a keen interest in Mathematics, I previously gave tuition for Additional Mathematics before NS and during JC.

I believe that everyone should not be deprived from education and thus this make me want to be a teacher when I graduate from university. Coming from a humble family, I understand that tuition cost is one of the primary concerns of many parents. Some tutors teach simply for the money. I believe I am a person with passion and heart for education as during school, I received many help from great teachers as I could not really afford tuition. (I only had Additional Mathematics tuition back when I was in Secondary School)

There is no reason for a student who wants to learn be deprived from gaining knowledge.

I have 3 young children. Apart from my children, I interact frequently with the friends of my children too. As I am fair person, young children like to communicate with me even though I can be firm and stern when need to.
I have a few years experience of teaching primary school students, especially lower primary school students.
My teaching method is to encourage self driven learning by the children themselves. I achieve this through games and activities, rewards such as well done stickers and plenty of words of encouragement.
