I am a firm believer in using self-awareness of students as a tool to get them to excel in their academics and more. Through self-awareness, students gain a better understanding of their learning preferences, strengths and weaknesses and can tailor and optimize strategies to achieve results. They also gain a sense of motivation and can align their achievements and results with their actual life goals and dreams.

I ran a intensive 3 week programme last year for JC students focusing on GP and using the methodology described above. My students feedbacked that they found the sessions enjoyable and that they had gained more confidence in tackling their GP subjects after the 8 sessions.

Schools: from Paya Lebar Methodist girls, Bartley sec, Pasir Ris Sec and Tanjong Katong girls. Improvement: 1 (Bartley Sec) student scored A2 for 2018 Os (jump from D7 for Sec 3 mid terms) and another student (TKGS) has consistently scored A1 for biology (jump from C6 for sec 3 term 1 WA) and she just took her O level bio paper this week. Another student (PLMGS) scored A1 for both bio and chem Other students final grades no less than B3 (2 scored all A1s for E Maths, A Maths and combined science, third student improved from F9 to B3 as she was a private candidate). One thing that sets me apart from the rest would be the way I teach. I can break down hard terms and explain them in the simplest way possible and being an O level graduate (non-IP student), I understand the requirements of the O level syllabus very well, which is essential in scoring high marks during exams.
