Experience
I have just graduated from a 6 year Integrated Programme (IP) School, River Valley High School. As an IP school, we are in the Express stream where we skip the GCE 'O' Levels, proceeding straight to the GCE 'A' Levels.
I have performed consistently well in school, constantly scoring within the top percentiles. In fact, I attained four 100 percentile (I.e. the top scorer for that subject) for H2 Physics, H2 Chemistry, H2 Mathematics and H1 Economics as reflected in my JC2 Holistic report.
I can provide my result slips for your viewing if required.
I am confident that I can teach students, especially Junior College students. Having just graduated, I am most familiar with the syllabus and the way of thinking of students.
Unofficial teaching experience:
- Taught a JC2 Male Student H1 Math when I was still studying in JC2. In the last 2 months for his run down to A Levels, I started tutoring him and he saw an improvement in his grades from E to B.
Official teaching experience:
- Currently teaching a girl for P6 Math (track records cannot be provided as student has not taken any test yet prior to tutoring by me)
- Currently also teaching another girl for JC2 H2 Physics and H2 Math (track records cannot be provided as student has not taken any test yet prior to tutoring by me) -> However for the JC2 girl, she found the tuition session really helpful. During 1 of the session, at the beginning of the session, I asked her 'What do you feel unsure about this topic: Oscillation'. She said, 'I dont know. I think everything' And so I went through the entire topic. After the 2 hour session, she commented, 'Actually, this topic seems really easy.' She even introduced me to more students (her friend, her little brother and sister) for tutoring session, which have not yet commenced as it just happened recently.
