I am now studying in SMU Law, Year 2. I was educated overseas in New Zealand, but I took an A-level equivalent exam, the NCEA. I also have experience teaching Sec School literature, I used to work for an agency (Tutelage Tampines) where I taught that, and my own sister is a Sec 3 IP student at Cedar Girls, and I handle her literature/english studies too. Both my parents work for the Ministry of Education, so I'm very much in touch with the syllabus.

I was educated overseas in New Zealand. I have an NCEA international A-Level equivalent certificate in English Literature at the Excellence level (the highest possible grade) as well as certificates in Classical Studies, Theatre Studies and Art History. I also hold a NCEA English scholarship. The only Singaporean grade I have is my PSLE, which was 251 overall and with A* in English.

My teaching experience began in the year 2013, where I was given responsibility over two classes of Year 11(the New Zealand equivalent of Secondary 3) students as part of Hillcrest High School's senior mentoring program. I was educated overseas for the past four years and currently hold an NCEA Level 3 (A-Level Equivalent) diploma in English Literature, Art History, Drama, Classical Studies and Spoken and Written Mandarin. Additionally, I have taken Scholarship papers for English, Mandarin and Classical Studies.

In regards to the aforementioned senior mentor classes, I taught literature and essay-writing skills, and seeing that I was making progress, later went on to teach Year 9 (Secondary One) Mandarin. I have seen significant improvement in not only the study skills of my students, but also their attitude towards the subject, which I believe is key to the overall development of students; to me, I believe that studies should be made engaging and enjoyable while retaining their educational value, in order to both boost the proficiency of students in their respective fields as well as retain the students' interest in the subject matter.

I am passionate and enthusiastic in regards to my job, and as my parents are both MOE-certified teachers of more than 15 years each. I have been exposed to positive teaching environments from youth and also have not lost touch with the Singaporean syllabus despite graduating from an overseas high school. I hope that this outlet will give me an opportunity to aid those in need of academic support, as well as further hone my educational skills should I choose to pursue a more concrete career in this industry.

I am a passionate and friendly tutor who specialises in Mathematics and Sciences, namely Chemistry & Biology. I have just recently completed my NS commitment and is currently waiting to enter NUS in 2016, majoring in Chemistry.

I have a strong desire for teaching since young and aim to be a Full-time teacher upon completion of my tertiary education. I enjoy building a strong rapport with the students, be friends with them yet maintaining a firm demeanour while teaching. To me, there is no one-size-fits-all policy when it comes to teaching. Since every student is different, I strive to serve all my students well by using different approaches which best suit their different needs. I have about 3 years of experience in part time tutoring after my graduation from JC and during my university days before taking a hiatus to commit on my full time job in a bank. Currently I'm self employed as a business owner and part time tutor.

In year 2010, i started my first tutoring experience with two students, one p3 and another p4 for English, Math and Science. They were both having struggling with borderline passes before i started my lessons with them. Within 6 months of tutoring, their results have improved tremendously by at least 2 grades. After 3 years of tuition with me, my P4 student has scored an impressive score of 243 in his PSLE. It might not seem like a big deal to many but to children who has been struggling to even pass their exam, 243 is something to boast about.

I pride myself in being a patient yet strict tutor who is able to deal with children with short attention span. With my interactive way of teaching, i'm sure your child would be intrigued to learn and be disciplined to take initiative in learning. I have about 7 years of tutoring experience in Chinese and English as I am better in languages. Most of my students are from Greenwood and Woodlands Primary. The students' results in Chinese are mostly A grade which is 75 and above. My recent psle student has scored A, has improved from B grade.
The lower primary tutees are mostly scoring 80 to 90 marks in Chinese.
