PROFILE
As a trained teacher with a Masters in Educational Research, I have accumulated more than ten years¢__Ô_æ¢ experience in teaching History and Humanities to students preparing for N, O and A Levels, as well as the International Baccalaureate diploma. I have detailed well-tested methodologies in equipping students with writing techniques as well as forming clear and succinct thesis statements in their written work. EXPERIENCE
History teacher, St Joseph Institution (Independent) ¢__Ô_‹ 2015 - 2016
I was the Subject Coordinator for the History Integrated Programme (IP). I was also the official liaison between the Senior School History Section and the Secondary Section. In addition, I was one of the teachers in charge of the School¢__Ô_æ¢s Drama Club that won a distinction for the Singapore Youth Festival 2015. Moreover, I was a regular singer and performer for school events as well as for Staff events, especially the farewell dinner for our then principal, Dr Koh Thiam Seng.

History teacher, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) ¢__Ô_‹ 2010 - 2014

I trained students in History for their International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, was the subject coordinator for the Secondary 4 and Secondary 3 students in the Integrated Programme (IP). I also appointed as the Vocal Pedagogy Specialist and trained both staff and students with regard to public communication skills and healthy utilisation of the voice.

For five years, I was the History subject coordinator and taught International History to Year One and Ywo students, while preparing them for their A Levels. In addition, I taught and supervised students in Project Work for five years, and was also Vice Chairperson of the Hwa Chong Asia Pacific Young Leaders Summit in 2007. In recognition of my teaching ability, the institution supported me in undertaking my Masters in Educational Research with the University of Western Australia. Finally, I was the teacher in charge of the renowned college choir, which won the Gold award with honours in the Singapore Youth Festival in 2007. I also was appointed to perform for many official school, alumni and student events.

I taught History and Social Studies to students of all levels in the Normal Academic, Express and Special streams, and was also the form teacher of the Normal Academic classes every year. I was appointed as the History department¢__Ô_æ¢s sole representative in collaborating with NIE (National Institute of Education) to devise new pedagogical approaches in Singapore¢__Ô_æ¢s educational system. My lessons with lower secondary students were observed and recorded by NIE from 2004 to 2005. MOE then implemented many of my approaches in the History textbooks years later. I also designed the school¢__Ô_æ¢s first History E-lesson storyboard. My other responsibilities include being Presiding Examiner for ¢__ԁ_N¢__Ôï levels in 2004; taking charge of Archives in the National Education Committee; leading a humanities field trip to Perak; and being Teacher in charge of the Symphonic School Band. It was in Zhonghua that I was also appointed as MOE X Factor Idol while representing my school in a nationwide talent time competition.
