I have three years experience teaching a primary 5, secondary 4 and secondary 5 student, part-time. The secondary 4 student saw her 'O' Level Mathematics grade improve from C5 to A2. I tutored the secondary 5 just 4 months prior to his 'O' Level Mathematics exam, and his grade improved from E8 to B4.

I normally go through the concepts first with my students, making sure that they know them by hard. Following, I would drill them with practice questions because I believe for mathematics, practice makes perfect. And while practicing more questions, students are exposed to a diversity of questions that help train their thinking and speed.


I personally love mathematics. It was my best subjects in secondary and JC. I went on to pursue a degree in Mathematics.

Hi, my name is Sean Yeo, I am a Full time tutor, and have been teaching since I was an undergrad in 2007.

I have a degree in Electrical Engineering from NUS, and distinctions in Maths and Physics at the 'A' levels.

I specialize in conveying core concepts to students, so that they learn in minimum time, with maximum effectiveness.
With a focus on Return on Learning, I do my best to help students best cope with their heavy work stress and load, by identifying the gaps in understanding that is specific to each student, and helping tailor make a study strategy that will help them quickly advance their grades.

My style is optimistic and motivational, and I believe that every student is capable of unlocking much more potential than they realize. I believe that with efficient learning techniques, guidance, and an optimistic mindset, most students will see significant improvement in their results, regardless of where they are starting from.

I am naturally inclined to be a motivator and have achieved awards such as 'Most Inspiring' in the organisations I have worked for. While I was doing the CELTA course, I attained practical experience of teaching to a classroom size of 4-6 students. I have also taught private tuition on a freelance basis for Mathematics and English at lower levels. While keeping a keen eye on academic results and progress, I have a flair for instilling confidence and inspiring each individual learner to reach his/her full potential.

Currently, I am conducting writing workshops for PSLE students. I explain concepts very clearly and propose specific resolutions that directly address the child’s areas of improvement.

The centres I have taught in are CDAC and am currently teaching at Oodles. As for home tuition, the secondary school students I teach/ have taught are from Victoria, Fairfield Methodist, Queenstown and Outram secondary schools.

Besides being very familiar with the PSLE and O level English syllabus and and helping learners develop a genuine interest in the language, I also propose specific resolutions that directly address and improve the students' areas for improvement. In addition, I explain concepts very clearly and am an imaginative, dedicated tutor who is committed to the progress of my students.
