I taught at Republic Polytechnic (RP) for 5 years in Diploma of Aerospace Avionics. I was the Module Chair for the Aviation Maintenance Practices module, aligned to the SAR-66 B2 Category requirements. I also taught other basic engineering subjects such as Circuit Analysis, PCB Design and Troubleshooting. As RP adopts the Problem Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy, there is no 'one size fits all' teaching method. As a result, I have to watch out for individual student's learning throughout his/her modules for the semester, and help them overcome their learning obstacles/hindrances.

Prior to teaching at RP, I had a short stint (6 months due to modular system) of giving private tuition to a polytechnic student in the subject of Aircraft Instrumentation and Systems.

For GP, I have taught an A level girl from Jurong junior college last year. She scored a B for her school graduating exam before GCE A level. Another one from NJC who scored A for GP and also RJC who scored A. For English, my students are from Swiss Cottage secondary school, scoring A1 after tuition and is going for O level this year. Another from Fuhua Secondary school, she was initially failing english and scored B3 after tuition and going for O level this year. I am a full time relief teacher confirmed for a year with Hua Yi Sec school teaching English and humanities. I've more than 14 years of tutoring experience teaching Pri and Sec students for English, History, Social studies and Junior College level General Paper, and most of my students scored A and B.

I was a student in Anglo Chinese School (Independent) from 2008. I was placed in the IB stream, and after graduation with 42 points with a 7 in Chemistry HL. I also obtained a place in NUS Medicine. I have given tuition voluntarily to low income students from Primary 6, Primary 6 as well as Secondary 2 and 3 since 2012. I believe very strongly in appreciation of the subject matter over rote memorization. Students need to feel comfortable with both the subject as well as the tutor, and I am an individual who is very committed to motivating the student. I have worked with children in my time in Medicine as well as before, when I worked with the Kid's Wards in IMH. I have spent the last 7 years in multiple Guitar Ensembles, the Secondary and IB Guitar Ensembles as well as the NUS Guitar Ensemble. I have played in multiple bands over the last 2 years as well as numerous performances.
