I am an MOE registered tutor and have a Masters in Engineering from NUS. As tutor, have taught various subjects to hundreds of students since the year 2002. Overwhelming majority of students have reported significant improvement in their subject results and competitive exams/tests scores. Have taught as NUS undergraduate tutor for more than four years, and almost five years as hospitality lexturer. My teaching style is motivational, inspirational, enthusiastic, empowering, customized and results oriented. I have more than three years experience teaching and tutoring P3 Science in Singapore schools and tuition centres. I have worked with YMCA of Singapore as specialist volunteer to organise camps, learning sessions and befriended autistic clients from SAC and MINDS. Stepwise, structured and enthusiastic tutoring. Tutor has more than six years experience teaching and tutoring IB Design. Tutor has so far helped numerous students achieving better Design results from reputed institutions such as SAS, CIS, AIS, Stamford American, Nexus, OFS, UWCSEA and Nexus. I have many years under my belt in teaching students of different ages, with different academic standards. I used to teach as a relief teacher in Tao Nan Primary and Raffles Girls Secondary school. Was a relief teacher for P6 sand secondary school students, and have tutored individually and in groups for years. Many of my students outperform their peers in wider scope of thinking and application, beyond receiving those As. Recent students: C to A2 SJI(International) B to A2. SOTA C to B3. St Anthony's Canossian D to B3. St Patrick's school I'm also teaching Literature to students from SOTA. My students maintain at B and A for literature. It really depends on student's diligence and exposure to different genres My emphasis is in creating interest in the subject, and understanding that weaker students require exposure and sufficient practice to become confident in the subject. Each student learns differently and I seek to teach accordingly. An improved performance in the subject can be seen minimally after 6 months. Having a strong foundation and interest in subject matter, I believe is more important than blind practice-- they will equip a struggling student to counter exam questions and related real life application more independently in the future.

I certainly enjoyed planning, preparing and executing fun lesson plans for class activities. I believe learning can be from diverse means and it is always important to make every lesson fun and interactive.
