Greetings! I'm Jinhan and I'm very enthusiastic about teaching. In my three years of teaching experience, I have helped five students who all demonstrated significant improvements in their grades during their final exams. For instance, one of my students even improved from a D to an A in H2 Mathematics and another O Level Chemistry student saw an improvement from D7 to B3. I remember being so overwhelmed with joy when I hear them talk about improvements in their grades! As an accomplished student myself, I have consistently achieved top grades in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics in major exams, which instigated me to be a recipient of the CIEU Scholarship and Education Grant Award from 2012 to 2020. Through my years of studying, I have developed a deep understanding towards complex concepts, which I aim to impart to my students. To help my students better grasp challenging concepts, I utilise effective teaching strategies such as breaking down information into manageable chunks and using visual aids like diagrams and videos to help illustrate complex ideas. I also encourage my students to ask questions and participate in discussions to enhance their understanding of the concepts. Beyond my academic prowess, I recognise the importance of building a rapport with my students. Creating a positive and supportive learning environment is crucial for them in achieving their academic goals, and I strive to achieve this in all my classes.

I have 1 year experience teaching poly and secondary 2 students. I've taught 3 students in the past, teaching mathematics and english. After giving tuition to a Sec 2 boy, his grades improved from being bottom half of the class to topping the class. My methods involve learning by doing, where I will solve the problem concurrently while the student works on the problem. This is to ensure that when I instruct the student on how to solve the problem, I will be able to coach him/her on each and every step and how the final answer was approached. I try to identify the student's gaps when understanding concepts, and will take a tailored, focused approach to ensuring that the student builds a strong foundation on his/her weaker areas.
