I will be teaching p4 math and p5 english at a tuition centre. I am able to break down the questions into small parts, allowing them to gain a better understanding of what the question is asking for. They were able to understand the concepts more easily and I also helped to clarify any misconceptions that they have. I also possess excellent communication skills and am patient when working with others. I am confident that I am able to improve the student's grades. I have participated in Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) and Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) in 2016, 2017 and 2018. I received the bronze award for SASMO in 2016 and 2017. I received the edusave scholarship award in 2016 and 2017, edusave merit bursary award in 2018 and 2020. I also received the commendation award for the science stream for my 2020 JC1 Promo exams and 2021 JC2 Prelims exams. My approach to teaching is to help students develop a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts so that they can apply them to different types of questions rather than simply memorising formulas.

Primary school - Pei Tong Primary School, for PSLE I got A* in English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science, Distinction in Higher Chinese Secondary school- Raffles Girls’ School - IP programme so no O levels JC - Raffles Institution, for A Levels I got A for H2 Physics, H2 Chemistry, H2 Mathematics, H2 Economics and H1 General Paper I have not had any formal tutoring experience, but I did volunteer tutoring for half a year in 2022. I taught mathematics to a Secondary 2 boy from New Town Secondary School. He did not have exams while I was teaching him so I am unaware of the grade improvements.
