The group of undergrads I was tutoring in NTU had averaged B/B- but got A- to A+ averaged after one semester. Taught Calculus I, II; Materials Chemistry; Physics I; Metals & Ceramics; Optics; My teaching approach is generally to break down the subject into the smallest digestible chunks and making sure their foundation is strong. It's better to discuss the concepts first before diving into the details. I have 3 years of tutoring experience. One of my strengths is that I cater to students' learning styles and goals and have a lesson plan based on that. I have 4 students in total throughout my 3 years. One of them started at C5 in the mid-year exam and improved to B3 in the O level. The other 3 I still currently teaching. 1 of them was promoted from NT Math to NA Math. The other one maintained his grade despite the increased difficulty of the subject from sec 2 to sec 3. The last one started off with E8 in Sec 2 Math but in her recent prelim, she achieved B4 and C6 for E-Math and A-Math respectively. I will not be someone who brings additional stress to my student but instead be their guide to their goal. Thus, even though my students' improvements are not outstanding, I am still currently their tutor as they and their parents trust me.
