For home tuitoin, I also have students from UWCSEA, Dulwich college before too Previously was in Nan Hua High School teaching Maths and Physics for O level classes. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching in schools and giving online tuition. Every student has the innate ability to excel. The role of a tutor is to guide the student the right concept, and speed up the learning curve of the student. I love to point out the critical points, and shorten the time needed to learn the most important part for each topic. This helps my students to focus and improve. However, students need to practise the questions so that they will know how to apply the concepts and handle the questions during exams. I also like to ask questions to make my students think and analyse. It is one of the most effective ways to learn. The students that benefit most from me are usually those who are committed and need someone to explain to them the concepts so that they can understand faster. I have many students who have benefited from me, improving from a F to an A grade. My years of experience has enabled me to know the common careless mistakes and where students have difficulty in understanding. I am currently a Final Year undergraduate student in NUS, studying Business Administration with a major in Finance and Economics. I was from Dunman High School in the Integrated Programme. I took H2 Physics, H2 Chemistry, H2 Mathematics and H2 Economics (PCME), and I scored A for all of them. I had 7 Distinctions, which meant that I am strong in the languages (English and Chinese) as well. Therefore, I believe that I will be competent in teaching the subjects that I excel in. Moreover, in my current degree, I am also practising Mathematics and Economics on a regular basis, hence I believe I am able to explain higher level concepts well.
