Hi my name is Joey, jiao yu. 36 female come from China n pr here. Diploma holder n got "a1" in o level I specialise in teaching Chinese at all levels. Primary n secondary. Student n adult . Local n international 11yrs of tutoring experience, Once worked in tuition centre. Right now 20 tutees, half secondary This yr I have 5 s4 o level students. Because of COVID, we did most of lessons online. Two tutees teach 2yrs from f9-b3, distinction in oral. One boy teach 10 month from c6-b3, one  Tampines sec girl from f9-c5 in 7 months, the other is a private student drop school 4yrs before when she s2, within half year she get b3. Distinction in oral.  I have helped students solidarity their foundation.Analysis of comprehension and learn writing skill... Succeeded in helping students raise their grades. One of my student I taught 2yrs start form never pass Chinese to psle b. After that I taught him until he finish o level. After attended evergreen Sec , now he is studying at catholic high. One of my sir lanky student get a1 at o level . After attended nanyang jc ,she graduated from Ntu. My higher Chinese student from ai tong, he grow up in a non-Chinese speaking family,I teach him from p3, get a n a* in psle, now studying at st. Joseph’s. I had one Sec higher Chinese student was attended at methodist girl’s , i teach her from s2, her higher Chinese score barely pass, after her hard work, she get b3 in o level higher Chinese, a2 in Chinese. Also had jc student from Anderson high barely pass his Chinese after one year get a b4 in a level. I also teach international school students , for lower grades I teach them basic conversation n good pronunciation. For upper grades such as grade 11.grade 12 prepare for their test. One of America international school student I start teach him when he was 11 grade and help his Chinese final exam. Now he finished his degree from university of Chicago. N getting further study. One of my Australia international student. He is Malaysian Chinese , Australia citizen. After two year assist. He graduates from high school . Now is last year in university of Queensland . I quit from tuition center because I think 1-1 tuition helps more. During lesson, I can record what we have done in each lesson. Take notes for student about their missing knowledge. So they can use their spare time ( take transportation, break ) to learn. Understand comprehension n questions, teach them how to write answer. Correct their composition, develop thought n express correctly. Practice oral , organize thought n express. I am a committed person. We can’t Know a person in short period . Tutor also need lessons to know students. So I am not easy to drop any student specially when they in p5 p6, s3 s4, That's makes almost every year I have students face their psle or o level exam. I am a patient person. I had a student with mild adhd, I taught him from his p1 ,he is very clever with very good memory, just can not sit tight. I try to teach him as much as I can. As he grew older, he getting better , n we learned more. I also full of passion about helping students improve in chinese subjects. I still remember my excitement when my calculus student received her first “A” on her exam. I am confident that my passion and experience are the qualities you are looking for.

I do not have actual tutoring however I do have some mentoring experiences as I have mentored my secondary school juniors on their school work before. I was also an instructor to secondary schools to conduct workshop and hence is comfortable with interacting with secondary school students. I also worked as a teaching assistant before as an odd job in a student care center were I guided primary school children on their homework.

I graduated from Jurong Secondary School in 2015, with a subject combination of English, Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Chinese, Higher Chinese and Combined Humanities (social studies and geography). I have gotten As in E Math, Chinese, biology and combined humanities and Bs for the other subjects. I subsequently went on to Singapore Polytechnic to complete my diploma in Maritime Business and is now waiting for university to start in August where I will pursue my Bachelor in History in NTU.
