My name is Joyce and I'm a full-time Mathematics Tutor and a Certified MOE Trainer. Over the last 17 years, I have taught countless of Primary and Secondary school students in Mathematics and various enrichment subjects privately (1-on-1) or in groups (small or large).
17 years experience of teaching A Maths and E Maths, and students had shown drastic improvement in them: Calm and focused, enthusiastic and dedicated tutor with natural ability to appreciate and inspire children, I am recognized for my commitment and ability for a positive interactive teaching style that encourages student participation and enthusiasm while facilitating learning. Possess a positive and effective teaching style whom is able to effectively deal with students with learning problems, ADHD, dyslexia and other special needs. A driven individual who is committed to satisfy educational needs and well-being of the students.
My mission is to help my clients (Mums and dads) and their kids (My student) excel in in Maths and do well for their exams.
Not all students learn Maths at the same rate and i am committed to build strong foundation for all my students and help them tackle their exams through customising my teaching methods to cater students with different needs.
Apart from tacking exams, i strongly believe Maths is fundamental skill that every student should possess that will help prepare them for their future in the society.
If child is struggling with Maths, i can help to build the foundation in a short time and excel in Maths. I am passionate in teaching Maths with 17 years of experience helping students of all ages and characters. Followings are some achievements:
Tutee 1 from Marie Stellar obtained A2 for both AE Maths ( before that was D7 for both)
Tutee 2 from School of Science and Technology obtained A2 for his EMaths ( previously was E8), B3 for AMaths (previously was F9).
Tutee 3 studied in Vietnam and came back to Singapore to enroll in JC, hence prepare her for AMaths for an entry exam to a local JC. She passed, and continued her journey to NTU.
Tutee 4 was in and out of hospital due to her eye. EMaths achieved from F9 to A1.
Tutee 5 has dylexia and EMaths achieved C5 from E8.
Tutee 6 and 7 are friends from a poly. Taught them engineering maths, however they dropped out from their school due to their commitment in work. They love the way i teach as i make it so simple for them.
Etc etc. All students were able to have more confidence in their Maths and excel from there. Students and their parents like me for being responsible, cheerful, and enthusiastic in teaching, and show instant improvement of 2 grades in their school examination. Especially the students who feel relaxed around me, and to me it is the most important as they can learn the most in a relax environment. They even confide in me and consult me out of tuition timing, and definitely I'm glad to help all the time.
