I have more than 7 years experience in teaching kids Mathematics, English and Science. As I pursued Further Mathematics in college, I prefer teaching Maths. There are only a few simple rules to scoring well in exams, once these rules are garnered, students can then be taught to tackle questions like puzzles in attempt to make learning more fun.

Currently I am teaching Physics at RI Secondary section and also Olympiad Physics, thus touching on A level topics and beyond. I have been teaching at RI since 2013.

I was teaching Physics at Tampines JC from 2005-2010, and was on NPL in 2011-2012 to take care of my kids.

I am a responsible and dedicated tutor. I love teaching, and find great satisfaction in interacting with students. Being a JC Physics teacher, I understand the requirements and syllabus well. I present Physics concepts in a clear and concise manner so that students can internalise them, and apply them. I also believe in establishing a good rapport with students, to understand their strengths and weaknesses so that I can cater my teaching to meet their learning needs and abilities. Depending on the topic, I use a variety of teaching methods (e.g. Applets, video clips, etc.) to make a lasting impression of the concepts. Students have also benefitted from my being able to break down Physics concepts into simple ideas, and have found the subject to be not as daunting as it used to be for them.

I have also taught Sec students in home tuition from St Hilda's Sec, Ping Yi Sec and Tampines Sec Schools.

I specialise in teaching Maths. I am an NIE-trained ex-MOE teacher. I have been tutoring PSLE Math, Lower Sec Math and O level A&E Maths for 20 years and have been teaching Math in school for 9 years. I am very familiar with the MOE PSLE Math and O/N level A&E Maths syllabus. Most of my PSLE students have scored A*s and As abd AL1s and AL2s and most of my O level students have scored A1s and A2s. Students who were failing previously have scored Bs. I am also very familiar with international school Math syllabus for IB, IGCSE and CBSE. I’ve been teaching Primary students from RGPS, Nanyang Pri,Tao Nan, NgeeAnn Pri, HaigGirls, Red Swastika, TKPS, Temasek Pri, Maha Bodhi, qualifying them for sec schools such as RGS, Cedar, Dunman High, Victoria Sch & Temasek JC (IP) to name a few. I’ve followed up with many of whom from Pri 3 till PSLE, achieving and maintaining AL1s and AL2s whilst under my guidance. I can help the student identify weaker topics and improve them. I’ve been teaching Secondary students from Raffles Girls, Nanyang Girls High, Catholic High, Cedar Girls (O level & IP), TKGS, TKSS, PLMGS, Dunman High, Anglican High, Victoria School, Temasek Sec, St Andrew’s, CHIJ (Katong), Temasek JC (IP), Anderson Sec & Chung Cheng High to name a few. Many of whom from Sec 1 till O levels, achieving and maintaining A1s and A2s whilst under my guidance and qualifying for JCs such as RJC, TJC, VJC, ACJC and ACS I (IB). I have taught international students from Tanglin Trust, ACS International, UWC, and Global Indian, to name a few, and they have scored top grades under my guidance too. Students and their parents have been very satisfied with their grades and my commitment, confidence, punctuality and teaching style. I'm very patient when explaining concepts till the student understands. I have followed up with many of my students from Primary 3 till O levels. I've been recommended to many students as a result of success stories.
