Since 2001, Ms Mary Rachel Yee has been a private tutor for General Paper (JC/IP), English Language, Literature and History. She has helped local and foreign students (primary, secondary and tertiary levels) to improve their grasp of the English Language, General Paper and Humanities subjects including History and Literature.

Well-versed with the Lit syllabi. Will provide relevant practices to strengthen Lit essay writing and character study.

In 2008, Ms Mary joined the Ministry of Education in Singapore and taught at St Margaret¢__Ô_æ¢s Secondary School till June 2012. She is equipped with Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU/NIE) specialising in teaching at Secondary School Level for English Language and Humanities.

During Ms Mary¢__Ô_æ¢s former job stints at Golin/Harris International and Creative Technology Ltd between 1991 and 2003, she has conducted training sessions for colleagues and clients to improve their English writing and public speaking skills, develop effective presentations, and negotiate more effectively in today¢__Ô_æ¢s dynamic world.

I also tutored IGCSE English to students in International schools, e.g Hwa Chong Int'l, and they are now in USA universities

I have six years of experience giving tuition, having started from 2007. I specialize in A level/JC Mathematics, having taught extensively at the level. Starting 2012 I have also started to teach O level A and E Math as well as Chemistry and Physics.

My teaching experience includes private tuition, group tuition at a tuition center and as a teaching assistant in NUS.

While mathematics may indeed seem daunting to many students, I feel that structured practice as well as understanding of key concepts (instead of just memorizing and regurgitating formulae) go a long way in helping them overcome and ace the subjects. Having tutored the subject for many years, I have gained much insight regarding the syllabus and the common types of examination questions.

Through taking a problem-based approach in my lessons, I try to strengthen my students' concepts and impart problem-solving and analytical skills to them, slowly progressing from simpler, more standard questions to the tougher, more unconventional ones. After a few months of lessons, my students have improved tremendously and all of them have clinched As and Bs in their A and O Levels examinations.
