Daniel who enjoys over 20 years of fruitful experience, is a patient,respected and talented teacher, always with a heart for his students. His successes have been impressive. He was selected to perform in the 1998 Singapore Symphony Orchestra Piano Marathon, 2 pianos work. In 1996,he had emerged as finalist in the Valsesia lnternational Piano Competition in ltaly. Next,he was a confident prize winner in the Franz Schubert Piano Competition in Dortmund in 2002. Whilst in Germany, he had the rare privilege to study with the world renowned pedagogue and pianist Igor Zhukov,whose teachers included Emil Gilels and the legendary Heinrich Neuhaus. Some of my outstanding students have clinched prizes in the National Music Competitions locally and the SPAF In 2014 Daniel has groomed, inspired and nurtured a large pool of students-from ages 4 till 76, from beginners till diploma levels. Their learning aptitude range-for exams(classical/pop), auditions, leisure and competitions and they embrace all walks of life. His strong aim is to provide a holistic solId learning experience that cultivates not only competence but also love, enjoyment and appreciation of all genres and styles of music. He achieves this through his vast experiences, intelligence, strategies in teaching coupled with knowledge and passion.Each music course crafted is customised individually. Remarkably, he has recreated a unique,unorthodox method to the art of practicing--they are tried and tested,proven to save much time which'kill 4 birds with 1 stone Daniel reiterates that learning an instrument should not be just about bagging all the exam certs and/or discriminating a gender base teacher.But rather,exposure and exploring music competitions,concerts and all genres and styles of music which are the hallmarks of a true musician and pianist.
