Been in Montessori schools for the past 8 years. 6.5 yrs wit MMI preschool out of which I was a principal for a year plus. I am also doing my degree course in counseling at SIM.

I teach kindergarten and pri 1 students mainly English, Creative writing and phonics.

I have been giving Science and Mathematics tuitions to both Primary & Secondary school students for 12 years plus. Current students are from San Yu and saint Joseph institution. I taught before P6 AEIS, class of around 12 students in a foreign student hostel. I have also taught foreign students to take AEIS whereby they are then accepted into local schools or San Yu. I coach my daughter myself whereby she attend Crescent Girls secondary school. She has since obtained an Architecture degree Since marriage, I coached my 2 daughters since primary school apart from holding a demanding full time job. I left my full time job in Year 2014 to guide both my daughters who are preparing for O & A levels examination respectively. Since 2014, I have started to provide tuition to my daughter's classmates on AMaths & EMaths. As I am able to explain the concept in a simple manner to make problem solving seems manageable in the students' ability, they are able to show marked improvements and interest in the subject. My daughters are in Crescent Girls & Henderson secondary. I am proficient in both Science and Maths as I took double Science and double Maths in my secondary & JC school days. I have about 10years of tuition experience. Currently I am giving Maths tuition to secondary 1 & 2 students.

I have been involved in private tutoring for 6 years, specifically only catering to Poly/JC/Tertiary students. In total, I have coached 5 JC students, 2 poly, 1 IB and 1 international student in Chemistry. I was also appointed as a part-time lecturer in Singapore Polytechnic School of Chemical and Life Sciences for 1 semester in 2011.
Personally I hold a PhD in Chemistry, and is well-suited to conduct teaching assignments. In NTU, I have been an awardee of 3 teaching awards (2 at division level and 1 at college level).
My teaching method involves (minimally) a 2h weekly session which comprises of 30 mins of course syallbus, 30 mins of clarification and understanding, and 1h of practise on questions with increasing difficulties. It will be adjusted to suit the learning curve of the student.
