I am a current Law undergraduate. I'm passionate about languages and am able to impart this passion to my students. I have been tutoring for the past 2 years and it he been a rewarding experience. I am able to teach primary school levels and up to A level subjects as well. Currently a year 2 Law undergrad at SMU. I am fluent in the English language and have experience tutoring for the past 3 years. I am able to adapt my teaching style to the learning needs of my students. I have 1 Sec 2 Exp student who has been consistently getting A under my guidance. 1 Sec 3 NA student who has now been promoted to Exp stream. And teaching JC1 General Paper to 1 student as well.

I come from FuJian China. I studied Early childhood education in Singapore and have been working as a Kindergarten Chinese teacher. I have 4 years experience teaching chinese in Kindergarten for students ranging from 3 years old to 6 yrs old children. Some were from non-speaking chinese families, they always look forward to my next lesson and started to speak chinese to their parents. I also have been teaching Han yu pin yin. After teaching my students, they can spell and write han yu pin yin themselves independently. I have three kids and we always speak chinese at home and outside too. Their Ting Xie in school always have high marks 90+ to 100 marks. Recent testimonial from a parent who has a special needs child: It has taken me a long time to find a Chinese tutor that I know could work with my 6-year-old daughter, who has sensory processing challenges and confidence issues. Weng Fang was recommended by a client of a therapist my daughter sees, and the first thing I heard was that she was great with children who may require an alternative way of learning Chinese. Since we started lessons, my daughter is not only enjoying her lessons, but has picked up a substantial range of vocabulary and has much more confidence when it comes to using Chinese. I have about 14 years of teaching experience as I began giving private tuition since I was a Junior College student (Year 2006). I taught English and Mathematics at a tuition centre. I have been tutoring since 2015 and have taught 3 students so far. The first student was a JC student (H1 Math, currently waiting for 'A' Levels results), the second student is currently in Secondary 4 (E-Math & Chemistry), and the third student is in Secondary 1 (Math & Science). My Secondary 4 student improved from grade F9 to B4 in about 2 months of tuition. I also have experience working at an after-school care centre for Primary school students, providing them tuition.

For the first few sessions, I will go through test/exam paper questions with the students using as it covers a broad range of topics and thus allowing me to make an initial assessment of their strengths and weaknesses in different topics of a particular subject. If they do not understand a certain question, I will explain it to them and give several example questions to test if they understood my explanation. Sometimes I would ensure that they understand the explanation by getting them to explain to me their thought processes when they attempt the questions.

I will usually go through questions with the student and explain anything that they have difficulty understanding. Then I will proceed to mark their homework while they complete more questions during the session.

I have a passion for youths, and I have been working with youth groups every weekend since 2013. I think that having private tuition with youths give me extra opportunities to make an impact in young lives. This is very important to me as it is at this age that they begin to form their identity and understanding of self and others. Needless to say, it is probably one of, if not the most important years of their lives because the choices they make at this stage will determine how they will turn out as young adults and adults. As cliche as it may sound, young people and children are the future of Singapore, and I want to make a contribution in their lives.

My belief is that communication and cooperation between the tutor and parents are very important. Hence, I will frequently update the student's parents on his/her progress, and would also appreciate feedback regarding the sessions so as to better suit the needs of the student.
