I am interested in Mathematics since Secondary School and have been scoring As for Mathematics. I am currently pursuing Economics and Data Science and Analytics in University which requires a strong Mathematical foundation. As a tutor, I have been teaching EMaths, Amaths, Chemisty, IB Math, H2 Maths, IB Economics and Poly Business Economics. As such, I am familiar with how to pass on knowledge in the simplest method possible for my students to understand and grow to like the subject. My name is Joyce and I'm a full-time Mathematics Tutor and a Certified MOE Trainer. Over the last 17 years, I have taught countless of Primary and Secondary school students in Mathematics and various enrichment subjects privately (1-on-1) or in groups (small or large). 17 years experience of teaching A Maths and E Maths, and students had shown drastic improvement in them: Calm and focused, enthusiastic and dedicated tutor with natural ability to appreciate and inspire children, I am recognized for my commitment and ability for a positive interactive teaching style that encourages student participation and enthusiasm while facilitating learning. Tutee 3 studied in Vietnam and came back to Singapore to enroll in JC, hence prepare her for AMaths for an entry exam to a local JC. She passed, and continued her journey to NTU. Tutee 4 was in and out of hospital due to her eye. EMaths achieved from F9 to A1. Tutee 5 has dylexia and EMaths achieved C5 from E8. Tutee 6 and 7 are friends from a poly. Taught them engineering maths, however they dropped out from their school due to their commitment in work. They love the way i teach as i make it so simple for them. Etc etc. All students were able to have more confidence in their Maths and excel from there. Students and their parents like me for being responsible, cheerful, and enthusiastic in teaching, and show instant improvement of 2 grades in their school examination. Especially the students who feel relaxed around me, and to me it is the most important as they can learn the most in a relax environment. They even confide in me and consult me out of tuition timing, and definitely I'm glad to help all the time.

I have been working as a private home tutor since 2018. I enjoy conversing with children and teenagers as well as parents. Throughout the years of me tutoring, I realised that I have a knack of communicating in a way that the children and teenagers could accept. I believe in not only being able to educate academically, but also to connect on a deeper level with the children in order to understand them better, and through this, I will be able to craft up a better and more suitable plan to teach them so as to encourage and motivate them to study. I believe that forcing a student to study is not effective, motivating them to enjoy learning is the way to go. My students enjoy learning with me, including those students who are very picky with choosing their tutors.
