I was teaching at Nat success tutorial centre for all subjects and all levels. I have taught about 20 different students individual and group which includes physical and online tutions as well. Most of my students have improved from Ds to As within 4 months of having tutored by me. For my primary students most of them improved from Cs to Bs and some from Bs to As within 3 months. Teaching method and how you would help the student improve: My style of teaching wld be to explain the concepts in detail so that they can build a strong understanding of the basic concepts which can be better applied to novel situations as the current trend of examinations is leaning towards applicate based question. I will be able to provide them with tips for answering certain question types as well. Since I'm a fresh graduate I would know what the testing of questions wld be like typically in school and as such as I can teach them the way I learnt also which allowed me to secure a place in NUS. I am a very jovial person and able to bond well with my students! I am also able to pick up tiny details n attend to their needs swiftly! My ex students even appreciated my way of teaching and are very thankful for that! I have taught secondary 1-2 and primary 5-6 students English, Mathematics, and Science . Their grades improved from C to A within 3 months. I have also taught primary 1 and 3 English and helped a 3 year old boy with the basics such as phonics, alphabets, and simple words. I always strive to do live demonstrations so that my students can better visualise the problem and also provide them with conceptual understanding so as to better equip them with the skills required to respond better to novel situations.
