Experience
I have a total of 3 years of teaching experience.
My primary school student was from Yang Zheng Primary school. The secondary school one was from Saint Joseph convent. I have also taught children in Australian international school.
2017: IB Grade 1 English, P4 English, K2 English
The IB Grade 1 was a girl from Korea who could barely speak and understand English when she first started tuition with me. After 3-4 months, her teacher in school and her parents saw visible improvements in her command of English.
Both P4 and K2 were Korean students as well, in which the P4 boy achieved an A for his SA2.
2016: O Level Math and Literature
Her literature grades improved from a C5 to an A2 for Literature for her O Levels
Her E-Math grades improved from a C6 to A2 for E-Math
2013 - 2014: Sec 2 & 3 E Math and English
The S2 boy was failing math when he first started with me, but managed to pull up his grades to a B after tuition. His mum was also very pleased with my tuition as her son was more motivated and disciplined after tutoring with me. Soon, she got me to start tutoring all subjects - History, SS, English and these continued for one and a half years. When I tutored him, he was in N Level and was on track to going to ITE, after tuition, he has successfully managed to go to Poly.
Coming from NUS Business School and majoring in HR, I believe I am well equipped with the necessary skills and techniques to ace any interview. Additionally, I was also in the HR field, where I did conduct interviews myself. Being in the role of an interview allows me to share what are the key points interviewers look out for, and the questions they tend to ask during interviews. I have faith that I will be able to help the student excel in not only his upcoming interviews, but psychometric tests and assessment centres as well. I also have experience teaching English across all levels, all of which have helped honed my writing skills which has aided me in the writing of cover letters etc. I hope to be able to help young undergraduate secure their dream jobs, as the interviews are often the part where most feel most daunted by. As it comes with practice, I wish to impart some of these skills which I have learnt, so as to not let other make the same mistakes that I once did.
