Teaching Style:
- I am highly responsible & patient, and is very passionate to teach :)
- I will teach the student the time planning for chinese paper 1 and 2, and go through the chinese homeworks with the student (explain word by word, and translate it to english to allow the student to better understand the meaning of the word/phrase/成语).
- I will also teach the student some 修辞手法 (rhetoric)，论证方法（for 议论文, argumentative essay) ，好词好句 (good phrases)
- I can help the student to look for suitable chinese assessment books in the book store, and provide some notes and quality essays (for paper 1 email and compo)
- In order the boost the student's interest in learning chinese, I will share some interesting newspaper/online articles & short videos with him/her, and conduct spelling or kahoot test (more fun & engaging).

Having a penchant and passion to teach, I have participated in pro-bono tutoring while I was in secondary school. I am a 17-year-old and will be attending school in Temasek Polytechnic, Year one in 2019. My main belief when teaching is to ensure the student is able to understand concepts before memorising. This is especially useful in application questions. Doing the TYS ( Ten Year Series ) is especially crucial as questions often repeat itself. I would encourage my students to do the topical and yearly versions once each before moving on to other school papers. This will be a good gauge to the actual O-level examinations. Having an eye for detail and keywords is very important. Many students lose precious marks because of the lack of keywords or not reading the question carefully. I would provide my own opinions to help my student reduce the possibility of committing such mistakes.

Some of their results were below 30-40% initially and improved with scoring 60-80marks and 60% and improved by scoring 90marks
