I've started out as a Part-time tutor. I'm happy to share that I've one student who took PSLE this year(2011) & score As for both Maths & Science which she used to fail/get 50+ marks. My strongest subject is Maths, it is also a subject that I like. So I enjoy teaching maths & imparting the knowledge I know to my students, making them positive in tackling the challenges ahead! I've met students who are really weak at it before, but I understand that each student has their own learning pace. I'm patient and it's my goal to help them like the subject eventually. I've got 2 boys that hate maths because they don't know how to deal with problem sums. I'm glad that after 1-2 months lessons, they now treat the sums like 'challenges on game' that there's different level to tackle it, & go up to another level. Now, they enjoy solving it even though it might be tough.
I am also tutoring another Secondary 4 Maths student from Shuqun Secondary school.

I have a 2 year experience tutoring primary school children at Yangzheng primary school because I was from Interact Club in my JC. I have been teaching Part time for more than 15years. I am a very responsible tutor & I do have good record. For the past few years many of my students are foreigner which includes Philippines, China, Indonesian, Thai, India etc... Improvement of 10 to 20 marks in students had been shown after private tutoring for half a year. I have been teaching mostly lower primary 1 -3 all subject & very familiar with Primary school syllabus.

In my commercial work career, i have 17years of experience in Accounting, Media, Research, Marketing, Advertising and Training industries. I have the opportunity to communicate, liaise and train different levels of educated people during these years.



In my teaching arena, I have 2 years of experience teaching primary school students during my A-levels days. I have 8 years of teaching experience to Secondary school kids at Sunday schools in a Catholic church and am currently teaching my Pri 5 niece in preparation of her PSLE next year.



As for my teaching techniques, i would make use of school textbooks, assessments, various school papers, online teaching guides and cognitive thinking to nurture the students. I believe in using everyday real life situations as examples to explain education concepts where possible. This is to encourage and nurture the students that learning is part and parcel of everyday living where we should not shy away from it.
