I am a A-level holder waiting to begin studies at NUS in Electrical Engineering in August 2012, specialising in teaching Mathematics and Science (Physics and Chemistry). With three years of experience teaching both O-level and A-level students, I have taught students of varying standards, schools and backgrounds, and have always managed to help them to improve markedly.

I studied at top institutions (St. Hilda's Primary, Catholic High, Victoria JC), and performed consistently at the top of my cohort, while also being part of different special programmes, such as the Gifted Education Programme and UCLES H3 Mathematics, and achieving many awards in Mathematics and Science, such as the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (Gold).

I believe both in helping students understand the subject at hand, and not blindly memorising facts from textbook, while at the same time mastering studying and examination techniques that will allow students to best demonstrate their abilities during their finals.

I offer lessons for A-level students needing help in UCLES H3 Mathematics.

My approach to teaching mathematics is to reinforce the conepts that are taught in school as i believe that the foundation for mathematics is vital for future education. Hence, students are able to have a gist on what concept the questions trying to test and to decide what method to tackle the problem given the concepts he/she knows.

I have a year experience teaching a Secondary 4 student Combined Science(Chem/Phy). At the end of Secondary 3,he scored D7 for Pure Physics and C6 for Pure Chemistry. So he dropped to Combined Science. After giving him tuition, he scored a B3 for his O Levels.
