I have a 1 year experience in working as an assistant teacher at PCF Admiralty. At times, I have to cover class in case if the teacher is down. When the time, I have to cover class, what I usually do is, Sing, Read a book to them, Do some Readers with them, Do Lea and let them play toys. Besides that, I also have to assist other teachers in taking care of the children, read book, sing songs, talk with them and play with them. I enjoyed my job as a teacher.

I have 4 years of experiences in teaching primary and lower secondary school students. I was an ex member of mentoring club in Nanyang Polytechnic. What i did is to conduct remedial on the saturdays in Yishun Secondary School. I prepare practice and exam papers for students as well as guiding them through the worksheets. Apart from setting of papers, i engage the students with subject-oriented games so that they will enjoy the period of studying.

I have taught children from kindergarden and primary school as well. Children of that age normally have short attention span, I will usually start off my lessons with videos and games which are related to what they are studying first. As much as possible, i will get my students to engage in activities so that lessons will not be plain boring for them.

I understand that each child is different and hence requires me to adapt my teaching styles to the individual's preference. I have had feedback from various parents that the children love my teaching and are looking forward to my classes every week. Some have even asked me if i will be able to commit to teach their primary 3 child until they have finished their PSLE due to trust. Feedback from the children include thanking me for being so patient with them and some even asked if i could conduct more lessons than just twice a week as they enjoyed learning._ï_ _ï_ _ï_ _ï_ _ï_ Qualification-wise,I was in the top 5% in my cohort as a Dean Lister, Scholar and First Class Honors Graduate from Nanyang Technological University. During my time in polytechnic, I was inducted into the Director's Roll of Honour and have been awarded various bursaries and a scholarship. I graduated with a Diploma with Merit (Top 10%).
