I have 2 years experience tutoring 2 Primary 5-6 children who went on to Raffles Institution after PSLE. Currently tutoring 1 Secondary 2 Student as well as 1 Secondary 3 student. Well-experienced in tutoring because of volunteer work with underpriviledged children as well and I can assure parents that the child's grades will improve. I especially specialise in Mathematics and Physics, but I am well-versed in Chemistry, Tamil and English.

I have taught creative writing and comprehension skills before, I have plenty of notes that I have prepared for past lessons and practise questions. I have tutored p5 and p6 students from a C to A in Psle

I employ the question-understand-try method. The first 1/3 of the lesson is spent clarifying any doubts in school work or questions that may have surfaced while practising at home. After that I will go through notes that I have prepared for the current topic (these notes are well compiled and have pushed grades up) as well as go through certain practise questions. I will then give the student a set of compiled questions to help the student reinforce the ideas and concepts that I have just gone through. Following which, I will assign some homework for the student to complete over the week so that the student can constantly be reminded of the concepts such that it is ingrained. This method has helped the students under me excel in their exams, and I am very passionate about helping students achieve their potential.

I have 4 years of experience of teaching English and Maths. I have taught primary 3 to 6 students in Sherwin Education Centre. I have also taught a primary 6 and primary 4. After giving tuition to a secondary 1 normal academic student, his grades for maths improved from C6 to A2 and his grades for english improved from C6 to B4. Generally better in Maths in school but still confident in communicating in English language. For O Levels, I got B3 for English and A2 for Maths and for A Levels I got a C for GP and B for H2 Maths. I have been tutoring on and off since 2013. Some of my students were PSLE students (Maths) and one was P3 (English and Maths) which was a girl with dyslexia. For one of the PSLE students I carried on tutoring him for Sec 1 also. Generally, all improved from fail to pass, except the girl with dyslexia which improved for a bit and worsened again (on hindsight should have attempted to teach in a more visual way). The last PSLE assignment I did was September this year for this girl who failed PSLE twice due to her foundation Maths. Under my supervision, I could really see her improvement and willingness to learn even though tutored her for one month only (one month before PSLE). She managed to pass her PSLE and is now applicable for Normal acad. I'm currently a Piano teacher. For practical I teach till grade 3 but I have a theory student that one is till grade 5.

I mainly teach English and maths. Students were from both international school like Tanglin trust and OFS and local school like nan Hua , Chij ,Cantonment primary and Jurong primary school. Now I have about 7 Students doing phonics , English and Math and previously also taught science. Some of them are borderline with their math results they had a 5 or 6 with my tutoring and following my steps they improve to 4 and 3 after a few weeks of tutoring . Had a psle student who scored 1 for her English as well . A china boy who didn’t know any English or phonics started reading and blending words after 3 weeks with me . Grade 5 English for a china boy also I am teaching he comes to my house he is already very competent in doing comprehension on his own and cloze passages he also improved his reading , articulation and pronunciation . They all had significant improvements with various subject .
