My experiences include:
I co-supervised four NTU final year students in their final year project; all of their projects were awarded Grade A. (2010-2011)

I was a peer tutor for 2 subjects in NTU for two semesters in 2009 and 2010. Feedback was good and I have regular students. During my undergraduate studies, I was also a regular contributor to the solutions to past year exam papers.

I tutored a Secondary Year 2 student for 1 semester in 2005. Her confidence in learning maths improved a lot.

My teaching method for Maths and Physics is mainly to help students to study and understand the essential concepts, and help them to deepen their understanding with exercises. This is basically how I learned these subjects.

My teaching in languages will include many activities of speaking, reciting, and conversations.

i have experience in teaching primary students in both the English and the Chinese language. For psle 2017, my student who had previously failed all his Chinese tests and exams, scored a B for Chinese after a year with me. His younger brother is now under my guidance as well. I also taught p4 higher chinese girl who scored A after 2 months of having tuition with me. I taught a P2 boy for a year and his English improved from a fail to a B. I am also experienced in teaching international students.
The method and style of teaching that i implement differs from the norm. The interactive and engaging lessons i have with my students allows them to have fun while studying. This enables them to not only score well in their academics, but also learn to appreciate the language itself and take interest in the subject. I got accepted into NUS, NTU and SMU, whereby i eventually chose NUS. I am under the literature department majoring in language.
