I am an International student currently pursuing my masters degree at NUS. Even though I belong to the Engineering field I have some teaching experience since I used to work part-time as a tutor at a local tuition center in my own country, where I used to teach Mathematics, English and Science to primary, secondary as well as a few higher secondary children. I earned several accolades from the parents of the children studying at that institution since they found that the children were extremely receptive to my teaching method and hence there was vast improvement in the children's grades as well as their ability to grasp concepts and apply them. I have also attached a copy of my academic records as well as a copy of my IELTS and GRE scores to give you a hint about my command over the subjects.

I firmly believe that every child deserves an enriching education, respect, and professionalism. Hi, my name is Ian and I love economics. But more importantly, I know how to make students excel in it.


BACKGROUND:
My background includes obtaining a score of 43 for the IB examinations in 2016, which puts me in the top 0.8% of the world. I received 7s for all 3 of my HLs ¢__Ô_‹Ð Math, Economics, and Biology ¢__Ô_‹Ð and ranked as the top scorer for economics during my mid year and preliminary examinations.


EXPERIENCE:
1) I have currently been teaching IB economics for a total of 2 months to 2 students, both of whom are JC1 students.

2)While I may not be experienced in the conventional sense, everything that I had learned for my IB examinations is still fresh in my recent memory.

3)From_ï_essay writing techniques to the elaborate struggles with grasping case study analysis, I can still recall not only the skills required_ï_to excel in Economics but also the mentality, exposure, and thought process required to obtain those skills._ï_

4)Unsurprisingly, both of my students admitted that they did not enjoy Economics beforehand. Economics is usually taught in a linear fashion, with concepts introduced independently of one another.Both students now assure me that their enjoyment and engagement of the subject has quickly risen to the point they can appreciate the humanity and perform well.


APPROACH:
1)It is far more engaging, meaningful and effective when it¢__Ô_æ¢s taught as though the subject as one big web of information.

2) Emphasis will be on connecting themes, theories and laws within and throughout the topics.

3) One on one guidance for essay writing and case study analysis. A feature that group tutors and school lessons cannot provide.
