I have three years of teaching experiences in tutoring primary and secondary school students. I taught Chinese, English, Science, Physics, E. math and A. math. Not only did I teach ace students, I also dealt with students who struggles at the border line. I encouraged them to have passion in learning and they have improved at least a grade in their academy after half/one year. The parents have confidence in me as I demonstrate consistency in my teaching quality. Recent student improved from 20 plus to 50 plus for chinese Other than the crash courses, most of the children had tuition with me for two years or more.

I am currently an English student in university and understand the importance of a strong foundation in English. I am teaching an 8 year old and a 12 year old creative writing respectively, which encompasses many elements of the english language. They have improved tremendously and now, write clearer with a more distinct structure and better grammar. More importantly, I used to be an assistant teacher at a phonics centre and I understand how a strong foundation plays a part in improving their language. As such, I am equipped with the skills to be able to help students strengthen their foundation. I like to get to know the students better and understand their learning styles in order to cater to materials suited for their needs. Through this, my students have improved considerably as the content and learning is suited to their needs. The same works for maths. I work on my students weakness while ensuring that they continue practising and understanding the different concepts of math. I like to make learning fun so that students look forward to learning and growing during the session. I started off teaching English to upper primary students and worked on their composition skills. Additionally, I used to relief teach and was in charge of teaching and disciplining the students. When my students started they were at a B or C range and I managed to push their grade up by one grade to an A or B.

I was teaching A-level Maths in CJC until 2017. I have 20+ years of JC math and Sec math teaching experiences before I become a freelance math tutor for the past two years. My students range from primary to JC level. Most of my weaker O level students improved from C6 to at least a B3 grade.

I worked in an established chain tuition center for almost a year, teaching a range of children from 4 years old to 14 years old. I taught both English and Math at the tuition center, with the stronger subject being Math. As a student myself, I know how hard it can be for students to grasps certain concepts. I am able to put myself in their shoes because I was once in their position feeling the same way. Hence, I feel that I can better relate to them and explain it in such a way that would help them understand. I had one tutee who was weak in her English Oral, she would always mutter her words and she was already in Secondary 2. I felt that oral was something that was easy to score so I made her practice over and over again to let her be more confident in speaking and through this I really saw the improvement in her results. Apart from that, I also have 2 younger brothers in Secondary school hence I am well aware of the syllabus and have consistently helped them with their school work as well. I am determined to guide and teach because that it something I wanted someone to help me too when I was a young student.

I’ve been teaching for 4 years now, and my students have shown remarkable improvements in their grades. Generally at least 3 grades up by the time they sit for their national exams. I've been teaching at the Nee Soon South centre as a volunteer since early 2018. Currently, I'm also teaching secondary school students English at CDAC. I've not had any achievements related to teaching given my short experience in the field thus far, but I have seen good improvement in my students' work, especially in their use of the basics of english correctly, which I still feel is a problem for many (regardless of their level of study).

I have graduated from Deakin University having studied Bachelor of Education (Primary) and throughout my university course, I have tutored a number of four students from primary 1, 2, 4 and 5. As part of my university requirement, I have taught in primary 1, 2, 3 and 6 classes. Most of my students struggle to understand the foundation of mathematics and I worked together with them to help build those understanding by using a variety of visual representations to help them understand. My students have improved from failing to understand the concepts to being able to grasp how to work out worded problems.
