I have been doing f2f, 1 to 1 tuition for past 11 years (primary school all subjects, secondary school chinese, international school IGCSE/IB chinese, chinese for beginners). My most recent international school tutees are two sisters from Australia who studied in AIS, taught Sister 1 for two years, scored A for IGCSE Chinese in 2019. Taught Sister 2 for 1.5 years, scored A for Chinese in 2018 IB. My current local tutee took P6 Chinese PSLE in 2020, scored A. I can cover most primary school subjects but specialise in teaching chinese and biology at higher levels. Have experience with teaching tutees with dyslexia and ADHD. First time being a tutor but I've teaching experience, mentoring my younger sister's studies since young. I've been guiding her math from primary 1-6.

My teaching style is that I would go through the topic and let students do assessment book to spot his/her weaker topic and focus more on that. Students could ask me questions when they encountered any problem and I'll be more than willing to help.

Exam papers will also be given to students to attempt.

My experience with primary school students were mostly short stints because it was volunteer, so all of my paid assignments were secondary. For Biology, I helped move the students from C5 to A2 and one more from C6 to B4. For Math, I helped both stdents progress from a fail (E8 and D7) to a pass (C6). For secondary level, I have taught Math, Biology, and Chemistry. For primary school, I have taught Math, Science and English. My students were from Bedok North Secondary, Naval Base Secondary, Edgefield Primary, Geylang Methodist Secondary. I begin by asking the students about the areas they are confident in and the areas they are not before asking them to do a few practices. I believe it is most crucial for me to be able to identify how the students think before confronting what they do not understand. Lastly, I also like to maintain a close relationship with the students I teach so I can understand them better in order to optimise their learning.
