School Terms For 2021
As per the schedule, the school year will consist of two semesters in total. Each semester will include two terms. These two semesters will make up one educational year. The starting and ending date of each term is given below. Let’s take a detailed look at them.
As per the Ministry of Education, the school year of 2021 will start on the 4th of January. The duration of the first term will be for three months. According to the schedule, the first term will start on Monday 4th January and will end on Friday 12th March.
The second term is expected to start on 22nd March. The duration of the second term will be for three months as well. According to the schedule set by the Ministry of Education, the second term of the educational year will start on Monday 22nd March and end on Friday 28th May.
The second term is expected to start on the 28th of June. The duration of the third term will be for three months as well. According to the schedule set by the Ministry of Education, the third term of the educational year will start on Monday 28th June and ended on Friday 3rd September.
The fourth term is expected to start on 13th September. The duration of the fourth term will be for three months as well. According to the schedule set by the Ministry of Education, the fourth term of the educational year will start on Monday 13th September and end on Friday 19th November.
School Holiday For 2021
As per the Ministry of Education, there will be school holidays and term breaks in between the terms. These dates are also announced in advance. Let’s take a look at them below.
The Ministry of Education announced a term break of 9 days between Term 1 & Term 2. The holiday period is expected to be from March 13 to March 21. Classes will resume from 22nd March. The second term of the educational year of 2021 will start once the classes are resumed.
The Ministry of Education announced a term break of almost a month between Term 2 and Term 3. The holiday period is expected to be from May 29 to June 27. Classes will resume from 28th June. The second semester or third term of the educational year of 2021 will start once the classes are resumed.
The Ministry of Education announced a term break of 8 days between Term 3 and Term 4. The holiday period is expected to be from September 4 to September 12. Classes will resume from 13th September. The fourth term of the educational year of 2021 will start once the classes are resumed.
The educational year of 2021 is expected to end on Friday 19th November. The Ministry of Education announced the holidays of almost a month at the end of the educational year. These holidays are expected to start from November 20 and end on December 31.
For Junior Colleges (JC) And Millennia Institutes (MI)

As per the schedule, the educational year of Junior Colleges and Millennia Institutes will consist of two semesters in total. Each semester will include two terms. These two semesters will make up one educational year. The starting and ending date of each term is given below. Let’s take a detailed look at them.
As per the Ministry of Education, the educational year of 2021 for JC and MI Year 1 will start on 29th January. On the other hand, the educational year for JC Year 2 and MI Year 2 &3 will start on January 11. According to the schedule, the first term will end on Friday 12th March.
The second term is expected to start on 22nd March. The duration of the second term will be for three months as well. According to the schedule set by the Ministry of Education, the second term of the educational year will start on Monday 22nd March and end on Friday 28th May.
The second term is expected to start on the 28th of June. The duration of the third term will be for three months as well. According to the schedule set by the Ministry of Education, the third term of the educational year will start on Monday 28th June and ended on Friday 3rd September.
The fourth term is expected to start on 13th September. The duration of the fourth term will be for three months as well. On the other end, the term for JC Year 2 and MI Year 2 and 3 will end when the A-Level exams will end.

On the other hand, the holiday period for JC Year 2 and MI Year 3 will start at the end of the A-Level exams and continue till December 31.
Some Other Scheduled Holidays For The Year 2021

The Youth Day is celebrated on July 4. As July 4 will fall on Sunday in the year 2021, MOE has announced a holiday on July 5 for Youth Day.
Day After National Day
The national day of Singapore is celebrated on August 9. The Ministry of Education has announced a holiday for the day after the national holiday i.e. on August 10.
Teacher’s Day
Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 3. There is a scheduled holiday for Teacher’s Day announced by the Ministry of Education.
Children’s Day
Children’s Day is celebrated on October 8. There is a scheduled for Children’s Day announced by the Ministry of Education.
